By becoming aware of our hidden aspects, we can work with them and use them in our personal growth, what happens is that we must take into account a series of parameters or conditions for example:
Basic and essential to stop blaming others:
One way to know our shadow is to observe how we relate to the environment that surrounds us.
When we observe how we position ourselves disproportionately in a situation, we are under the influence of our shadow, as if it were a tendency in which we always project outside, so as not to see it in ourselves.
That is, we always see in others what we reject in ourselves, to realize and to accept this, can help us reflect and analyze our emotional state, being able to learn from each situation in particular.
The fact of taking responsibility for our emotions would be the first step to be able to integrate in our SELF, those parts that we have been rejecting during our life experience.
It demands to assume our responsibility: for this it is necessary to develop a holistic or quantum and integrating mind, that understands that the causes of the effects that happen in our lives are in our interior, and that each ONE is responsible for the decisions that it makes and that provoke certain tangible effects, this means that everything that happens to us has a “raison d’être” and a what for.
It is an experience to be understood step by step:
to be able to clearly observe these steps we must be in a state of CENTER (without judgments), for this patience and confidence will be essential in this work with the shadow, as more we need or want to see the solution or situation, more need to experience. The fact of being in a state of center will help us dissociate ourselves from the ego and observe from a distance.
Most of the times we will want the answer or the imminent solution due to our impatience and that does not happen that way, since every awareness, response or solution comes when we are ready to INTEGRATE it, without there being a where, a when, a like, neither before nor after.
It requires renouncing our ideals of perfection:
to be able to know these aspects of our shadow requires an effort on our part, trying to recognize that perfection desired is an illusion. This part of self-inquiry is usually very painful and a bit difficult, since the shadow, aside from containing positive aspects, usually contains the most negative, primitive, violent and maladjusted aspects that we have been rejecting for moral, aesthetic, cultural and social reasons of our environment.
The shadow’s presence reminds us a person who shames us and fills us with humiliation.
It requires learning to live in uncertainty:
By going deeper into our shadow, we will find ourselves in situations of anguish that we did not even imagine, these situations can broaden our awareness, although for this it is essential to get rid of all expectations and all previous judgment, in order to open ourselves to the unknown and new ways of thinking that complete us as individuals and allow our personal development.
